Gardens opened in 1966 in Hillsborough,
New
Jersey on Route 206-then a quiet road connecting Somerville and Princeton with
but three traffic lights in between! As the area has grown, so has our reputation
as a
unique garden center. We offer one of the most extensive selections of plant material
in New Jersey with many unusual and hard to find varieties. Ambleside's gift shop
is ever
changing
with the seasons,
filled with fine crafted items
from
all corners of the world.
Our
staff includes certified nursery and landscape professionals;
with years of combined professional experience, we can help
with all your horticultural needs. We know our plant materials:
the soils they require, the locations they prefer, and how
fast they will grow. Ambleside has been an active participant
in the New Jersey Flower Show where our display gardens have
won the Governor's Trophy for Best in Show five times. At
Ambleside, we offer a complete design/build landscape service.

popular in-house consultation byappointment
